In this photo taken after the war, the parade ground and POW barracks are shown at Camp #17 at Omuta, Japan are shown.  The parade ground shows signs of having been dug up which means the photo was taken after the war.

 

After receiving the news of the Japanese surrender,  the POWs at Oeyama Camp took the parachutes from the food drops and made flags representing each nation with prisoners in the camp.
