Death March 7

 

In this posed photo, American POWs are searched by Japanese soldiers.  In reality, if the POWs were caught with anything Japanese, they would be executed on the spot.

A Japanese guard stands watch over POWs at Mariveles at the start of the march.  The bayonet on his gun was not for show.
