      - changed the spelling of his last name

     - U.S. Army required that the last name on the soldier's birth certificate

        be used on military records

            - left school before class graduated

           - wife & son would later move to West Palm Beach, Florida

           - son would become a Navy Seal during Vietnam

           - father of four sons

    - Battle for Raddon, France - 17 September 1944 - wounded

    - family received word of his death on 9 January 1945

    -  1948 

        - Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery - Hillside, Illinois
